DIGI-DATA INTRODUCES THE T-3412 MULTI-PROTOCOL STORAGE SERVER AND RAID SYSTEM.

Build a flexible IT foundation for your business, whether it’s small or enterprise. Couple the Intel Storage Server to create a dedicated networked appliance. Get performance and flexibility with a storage server built to support quad-core and dual-core. The T-3412 is a 2u rack mount storage system that supports 12 enterprise-class Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) or high-capacity Serial ATA II(SATA II) hard drives.

Flexible connectivity where and when you need it:

As companies continue to move towards simplicity and cost control in their storage infrastructure, implementing versatile, multi-purpose storage products is critical to getting the most out of your NAS or Storage Area Network investment. With a full-scale fibre channel SAN on the back-end, it eliminates the proliferation of small NAS devices and their associated management (and data protection) problems. With file-level and block-level access, the T-3412 offers an ideal storage platform for nearly any storage challenge, from email server storage (iSCSI) to file servers (FC) to large file applications including video archiving. Infiniband connectivity is supported via add-in cards.

Easy expansion:
An HBA can be installed to connect additional storage. Software RAID can be used over JBOD arrays, or other controller/drive chassis can be used to expand the capacity in growing environments. This allows a deeper archive storage system, or provides a centralized storage repository as a disaster recovery solution for multiple NAS servers.

Performance features:

Port bonding allows multiple GbE ports to be aggregated to deliver significant performance, ideal for video upload and download environments. High performance Intel Quad-Core Xeon E5335/2 GHz (1333 MHz) - LGA771 Socket - L2 8 MB [2 x 4MB (4MB per core pair)].

DATA PROTECTION — DESIGNED-IN:

The long distance connectivity offered by iSCSI opens creative options for moving data between branches or sites without expensive network conversion devices. To leverage this long-distance connectivity, the T-3412 includes ‘multi-snapshot with scheduling’ as well as volume replication and backup agents. Working in concert, these tools can make data protection much easier to integrate into standard backup processes, or handle the task of creating remote secondary copies with no additional upgrades to the current backup system.
