Digi-Data deploys these arrays into a public utility grid to support multiple levels of partnerships (Digi-Data’s Ecosystem) that service enterprises, businesses and consumers through a variety of brands. Snapped into our Continuum grid, these solutions range from consumer-class online backup and sharing utilities, to appliance-based business solutions for digital asset management.
Many customers and agencies prefer hosting their own storage utility. Leading this private utility model is Digi-Data’s Archive Management System (AMS). AMS offers a family of general purpose archive solutions that virtualize multiple tiers of storage behind a single mount point (or network share). From small to large, each AMS solution utilizes intelligent, automated data movement between tiers of storage to minimize energy costs while delivering the right combination of price, availability, and access characteristics. In larger systems, the green component of the Continuum Arrays allows us to spin down disks that are not in use. This disk power management technology allows us, our partners, and our customers, to be better global citizens.
