G Series T-4000 Controller
As the first model in Digi-Data’s new portfolio of Continuum storage, the G Series T-4000 is the ultimate in active archive and tiered storage. With the right combination of energy management, data movement, expandability, and availability features, the T-4000 offers the ideal platform for large data storage requirements.
Green Advantage:

Whether it’s consolidating multiple applications or serving massive content, the T-4000’s power management system is flexible enough to range from “all on” to nearly “all off.” The T-4000 is the only clustered RAID system on the market that can minimize energy consumption, yet deliver full performance on demand.
Enhanced Reliability:
Sophisticated peering technology creates a storage “grid”, enabling up to four controllers in a cluster for ultimate availability. Each controller serves independent workloads as well as providing a failover target to other controllers in the cluster using WWN aliasing. Leveraging the cluster to deliver speed and availability, a patent-pending write scheme called Cluster Node Cache involves each controller selecting a peer node that actually writes to disk, versus the traditional mirrored write cache technique.
Streamlined Upgradability:
The only constant in most IT environments is change. Using a building-block architecture, capacity, bandwidth, and access can be adjusted and balanced to meet the needs of the application(s). The T-4000 also has a built-in, split-mirror snapshot utility (XAPshot) to simplify upgrades to new drive technology.

With 16 FC ports per controller chassis, dual high-speed busses, full volume copy technology and nearly a PB of storage addressability, the Continuum G Series T-4000 is made for high capacity storage applications.
