Digi-Data Corporation considers data privacy and protection of personal information a fundamental element of the partnership it has with its resale partners and the end users of its services.
For purposes of this policy, "Personal Information" means any data from which it is practical to directly determine the identity of an individual. This Policy outlines our general policy and procedures for adhering to the Safe Harbor privacy principles for Personal Information.
Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
When registering to use Digi-Data's services, and in the process of actively using the services, your Personal Information becomes known to Digi-Data. Any and all information collected during the user registration process, account provisioning and your use of Digi-Data's services is used internally to provide the services and render technical support when required. Digi-Data does not access user data stored by users of its services without express written consent as described below. Digi-Data does not sell or market Personal Information from users of its services to third parties.
Security, Access and Data Integrity
Digi-Data maintains reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Users can access, maintain and delete their Personal Information at any time through use of the services.
Onward Transfer of Personal Information; Notice
Digi-Data may disclose Personal Information without offering individuals an opportunity to opt out of disclosure if we are required to do so by law or legal process or compelled to do so by law enforcement authorities or other enforceable government request. An authorized reseller may present an explicit data reproduction request to Digi-Data on behalf of its end user.
Enforcement and Oversight
Digi-Data has adopted measures and procedures to ensure adherence to the Safe Harbor principles described above. We conduct regular self-assessments of our practices with respect to Personal Information to verify these representations about our Privacy practices. If a complaint cannot be resolved through our internal process, we will cooperate with the relevant European Data Protection Authorities. We will take steps to remedy any failure to comply with the Safe Harbor Framework.
Digi-Data certifies that it adheres to the U.S. -- EU Safe Harbor Framework regarding the collection, storage, transfer, use and other processing of Personal Information, as set forth by the United States Department of Commerce at http://export.gov/safeharbor/.
